And now a
message from the President:
Hi all!
It's a busy time
down at the theatre. Rehearsals are going on Monday, Tuesday and
Thursday nights. Saturday there's set construction and painting. If
you can help out in any way, let someone know.
The 80th
anniversary committee is extending an invitation to all our patrons to
come down after the show on the first Sunday of each performance. For
"Rainbow" that means on Sunday November 4, 2007 to meet the cast, crew
and members and enjoy some cake, maybe take a backstage tour, get their
questions answered... we just wanted to be more approachable and
friendly (not that we already aren't)... but all members are invited
down to this shindig as well, so come on down for some cake and some
company.
If you have an
80th season shirt - wear it! If you don't and you'd like one, contact
Angie for more information about getting one (or two). The website is
coming along nicely and the information is keeping pretty current now,
so take a look and/or join in on the forum discussions - it's mostly
just the rest of us at the theatre. For those of you who don't know it,
our website address is: www.harlequinstheatre.com (make sure to spell
theatre with the "re").
See you at the
show! Lori

EARLY ONE EVENING AT THE RAINBOW BAR AND
GRILL
By Bruce
Graham
Performances run:
Nov. 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11
It's the end of the world, how do you spend your last hours? For the
offbeat characters who frequent the Rainbow Bar and Grill the choices
run the comical gamut. There's love, revenge, sex, silliness, quiet
contemplation and acceptance, until one lone stranger offers the most
intriguing solution of all.

We are
trying to cut postage costs for the newsletter and would like to know if
anyone receiving the newsletter would prefer to get it by e-mail instead
of snail mail.
If so,
please let Ellie know –
her
e-mail address is: estuck@monroeville.k12.oh.us
If that's not your thing we
still don't mind sending it by regular mail since we do want everyone to
receive it and know what's going on.
Thanks
"Oct. 20th
at 1 pm is the Set Painting Workshop to be held at the Merry-Go-Round
Museum. Attendee size is limited. Already 3 signed up, so let Karen
Mears know if you are interested, you can e-mail or post via the
Harlequin's website or call me at work 419-626-6111. Please call if you
need to know how to get there as well. It is hands on so where something
that you can spill paint on!"
Your Theatre
Needs You!
We are in need
of someone to run lights and a house manager for "Early One Evening at
the Rainbow Bar and Grill" please contact Jennifer Wertz or Lori Demres
if you are available for either. The show runs November 1, 2, 3, 4, 8,
9 ,10, and 11, 2007. We would also need the person running lights to
probably be there from Oct. 28th (Tech Sunday) through the run of the
show, including a special show on Wed. Nov. 7, 2007. The house manager
would not need to be there that day nor the week before - just during
the run of the show.
Set painting
begins Sat. Oct. 6 at 10:00 a.m. if you are available to come down and
help... and, as always, set construction will continue at the same time.
Ushers are
needed as well - Jennifer will have a sign up sheet on the bulletin
board.
